FIRE AT JEM PUT OUT BY ACTIVATION OF SPRINKLERS

A fire occured at JEM shopping mall in Jurong East this evening.

Customers and patrons of the cinema were told to evacuate. As such, there was a huge crowd outside JEM.

According to a statement by the Singapore Civil Defence Force, the fire was put out by the sprinklers which had been activated. There were no reported injuries.
