THIS POST IS TO SERVE TO WARN OTHERS WHO WISH TO CHANGE YOUR NETWORK TO CIRCLES.LIFE or HAVE ACTIVATED ROAMING FOR CIRCLES.LIFE.
Recently, I switched telco to Circles.Life. Everthing seems great, the low price, the bonus data etc.. However, the shock come to me when i saw that I am being charge $20+ for roaming in the app.
I definitely off my data roaming on my phone for sure. (FYI, previously with this setting, my previous telco M1 did not charge me such data leakage at all.)
Upon seeing this, I immediately contacted Circles.Life and below is the comment they provided me.
“Did you use 4G before you went off to another place? Ah I think it’s because you already crossed and maybe some data fed through.
Should have turned off before boarding to be safe.”
What Circles.Life is suggesting is that those under their network, if you are going overseas, please only switch to 3G/2G/1G, NOT 4G, else, you better change to a overseas SIM card first even before you reach your destination.
I had never in my life see such a STUPID reply? That why I challenged them saying, when I was using Malaysia Sim card, I reached SG on my Malaysia Sim card, Malaysia Sim show that I am roaming in Singapore, the network is 4G, data roaming off, I did not see Malaysia side charging me for connecting to 4G network with data roaming off?
From this, it is clear that they have some backend issue with their system. And such backend issue is borne by the consumer, us!
In post you can see that CSO promised to provide me an update by end month 30 June 2016, however, promised is not honoured.
CSO from Circles.Life even use harsh words like: “Hayyyyyy! It’s not my choice la. There’s no way la.” I did like to applaud them for having such wonderful staffs.
Till date, I only got a reply they will waive me $10, which they claimed is 50% of the roaming charges they had charged me for. My roaming charges due to their own technical fault is $28.80 exactly. 50% should be $14.40?
It is not about the money I care, if I really used these overseas data, I am willing to pay even if it amount to hundreds.
It is more to the quality of service provided to us, to warn others to be careful when you sign up for their network. Their 4G LATCH issue is their own backend fault clearly but they insisted that you pay for these charges.
I actually do not want to share these post, but seeing that Circles.Life deleted most people negative post on their FB and leaving just the ok and positive comments are my last straw.
Please help to share this to alert our local mates not to be conned.
