McDonalds launched the salted egg yolk burger with much fanfare, promising to bring authentic local flavour to their menu and promise it will be confirm shiok. I went during lunch and the queue was so long only to be disappointed after the first few bites.
Despite trying my best to taste the salted egg yolk flavour, I frankly could not taste the flavour we Singaporeans are so familiar with. It was an utter disaster! It was like eating deep fried chicken with some milky sauce on it. The egg yolk aroma was no where to be found.
Don’t be tricked by those online reviews praising McDonalds’s salty egg yolk burger to the high heavens. It does not taste good at all. Do not be cheated and waste your time queuing for it.
Not worth the money and not worth the money. You are better off buying McSpicy burger!
