A cyclist, who collided with a car at a traffic junction in Hougang on Wednesday night, has miraculously escaped injury despite being flung a distance from the crash and lying motionless on the road.
Dashcam footage uploaded by Facebook page Beh Chia Lor showed the cyclist had beat the red light at the pedestrian crossing. The black car, which could not see the cyclist, collided with him and flung the man off his bicycle.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it responded to the accident at the junction of Hougang Avenue 7 and Tampines Road after it received a call at around 9.25PM.
They found the cyclist unharmed. He refused to be taken to the hospital.
