Hellrider from Grab
This rider refuses to alight after she has reached the destination, citing the fact that the driver swiped “drop off” before she can enter her promo code, supposedly valued at $15, making her liable to pay the promotional value difference from her own pocket.
This is total unfounded. Grab periodically gives out promo codes to attract demand. Riders are supposed to key in the promo code before the ride and not during or after.
In the video, she demanded the driver to ask the Grab corporate support to call her as she wants to make a complaint.
When consumers are upset about a service or product, you complain by calling in and not demand for someone to ask the service provider to call you instead.
She continued sitting in the car and had no intention to alight before possible resolutions are met.
Eventually, she called the police in to mediate. Arrogance and uncouthly mannerisms can be seen in the video provided in the link below.
The entire episode lasted for an hour, at the expense of precious time of the driver and the government resources (police) that attended to this matter.
It is never easy to put bread on the table for a private limo service driver.
Time is precious and being caught in this unnecessary situation is frustrating.
