This evening (13 June) at about 6.30 pm, Jeff was at Bishan MRT station when an announcement was made to inform commuters of a delay caused by a train fault.
Following the announcement, he saw that the station staff got to work immediately. They prevented people from entering the already crowded train platform and helped to direct commuters who were queuing for trains,
Their promptness was efficient and impressive.
Jeff said, “During a train fault people often blame the SMRT. Not many people praise the good job of the staff and patrolling crews when they put in effort to control such a large crowd, especially during peak hours when many are rushing back home.”
Train service resumed about 10 minutes afterwards.
Kudos to the SMRT staff of Bishan station for a job well done!
