TOA PAYOH HAWKER GIVES FREE OR DISCOUNTED MIX VEG RICE TO ELDERLY CUSTOMERS

Dear Editors,

There is mixed vegetable rice stall at a coffeeshop in Toa Payoh Lorong 1 Block 128 which deserves mention. Whenever the elderly poor visits the stall to buy their meals, the stall owner will relax their pricing and allow the elderly to pay whatever little money they have. Sometimes they pay one dollar for the meal and if they really have no money, free is also fine.

Once a customer overheard an poor lady ask the stallholder why they sell their bee hoon to her for so cheap, only one dollar. These kind hearted people should be praised and recognised for their humanity.
