KIND MAN HELP JUMP START OUR CAR, REFUSED ANY REWARDS FOR HIS TROUBLES

Dear ASS,

I would like to say a big “Thank You” to Ignatius, the young Chinese man who helped us last night. Unfortunately my husband parked the car and left the head lights on as we went for a birthday celebration pizza in the Bukit Timah/6th Ave area, and when we came back the battery of our car was dead and we couldn’t start the engine. Ignatius was out with friends and noticed our predicament.

Neither of us had starter cables in our car so Ignatius then offered to drive to his home, pick up his starter cables, come back and help us jump start our engine with his.

Ignatius didn’t want to accept the bottle of wine I wanted to give him as a small token of our appreciation. Instead he said “Just pay it forward, do something for someone one else sometime when you can. ” What an awesome man! You make the world a better place!
