Six radicalised Bangladeshi workers in Singapore who were detained under the Internal Security Act have been prosecuted under the Terrorism Act (Supression of Financing).
They are Rahman Mizanur, Mamun Leakot Ali, Miah Rubel, Zzaman Daulat, Md Jabath Kysar Haje Norul lslam Sowdagar and Sohel Hawlader lsmail Hawlader. They were charged in Court on Friday (27 May 2016) for providing and collecting property for terrorist purposes.
They were all part of a group scheming to set up an Islamic State in Bangladesh. They were all working in the construction and marine sector in Singapore.
