17 Y.O DRIVING WITHOUT A LICENSE CAUSED DEATH OF MOTORCYCLE PILLION

On Saturday morning (21 May 2016), a couple on a motorcycle were hit from the rear by a car at the traffic junction of Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 and Ang Mo Kio Industral Park 2. The impact of the crash was so strong that the pillion rider landed on the roof of a taxi on the right.

The pillion rider died on the way to the hospital. There were visible injuries to her face. The motorcycle rider was conveyed to the hospital. They had planned to get married next year.

The car that caused the crash was driven by a 17 year old male who was driving without a license. He had fled from the car after the accident. He has been arrested by the police. It was understood that he had been driving a rental car.
