RIDERS ON BATTLESTAR GALACTICA RESCUED AFTER “TECHNICAL ERROR”

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) ride, The Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cylon roller coaster experienced a technical error at about 4pm yesterday.

Riders of the popular roller coaster were evacuated safely from the lower section of the ride.

According to bystanders, the riders were stuck for about 20 minutes.

A spokesperson from Resort World Sentosa which manages USS said that “The safety of our guests is our top priority and a thorough routine safety check was completed before we resumed the ride at 5.08pm.” He added that the evacuation was done with accordance to the standard operating procedure.

The Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cylon roller coaster was last closed in July 2013 for a review. It reopened in May with 2 seater rides replacing the previous 4 seaters rides.
