SDP: PAP PROPOSED RETRENCHMENT BENEFITS SCHEME WHICH SDP FIRST MOOTED IN GE 2011

The SDP first proposed the idea of having a retrenchment benefits scheme back in the 2011 GE and then in our RESTART programme in the last GE.

PAP MPs are now beginning to say the same thing. In the past, whether it is employing Singaporeans first, putting in place a minimum wage scheme, or adopting a universal healthcare system the SDP has been pushing the government towards policies that benefit ordinary Singaporeans.

We will do more of this in Parliament. ‪
