WHATSAPP SCAM ASKING FOR IC NO. TO CHECK ON GST VOUCHERS

Our reader recently received a WhatsApp message from an unknown number, which asked her to log on to a third party website and submit her IC number to confirm her eligibility for GST vouchers.

The URL provided in the link led to a suspicious third party site which asked for the details of visitors. The site does not seem to be related to the official GST voucher site provided by the government: www.gstvoucher.gov.sg

Our reader has sent us details of this suspicious WhatsApp message to warn other people about this possible WhatsApp scam.
