PUNGGOL SEC SCH: FORMER STUDENT WAS SCOLDING SEC 5 STUDENT CAUGHT FOR SMOKING

Punggol Secondary School has confirmed that the video that has been circulating online was filmed on its campus. In the video, a teenage boy was punished and shouts could be heard. The school has clarified that this took place during a scouts camp. The person shouting in the video was neither a teacher nor an instructor, but a former student who was helping out at the camp.

While the former student had reprimanded the teenage boy with good intentions, the school has since spoken to the alumnus about his inappropriate methods.

The school will also brief all alumni supporting school programmes on the “proper code of conducting” when assisting in co-curricular activities.

Currently, the school is providing counselling support to the student involved to help him quit smoking.
