It was in the afternoon and I was gonna be late for work, I had no choice but to flag a cab down even though it was pretty near my place, I quickly flagged near the bus stop and get to work.
Before I reached my work place I took out my wallet as I was gonna pay the taxi uncle, then at this moment I realized I didn’t have any extra cash with me and wanted to pay with my cards, so I ask uncle whether do he accepted cards, so uncle said he didn’t have the machine inside his cab, so I have ask his permission to actually withdraw some money to pass it to him and ask him to wait for me just at the taxi stand.
But there isn’t any waiting area for the cab as the stand is available for passengers to alight or board only taxi uncle claim, so he decided to let me off with a free ride, I was pretty guilty but at the same time felt grateful.
Thank you very much taxi uncle!!! Not all the Singaporean taxi uncle are bad lol…
