FOREIGN BEGGARS AND TISSUE SELLERS ARE VERY AGGRESSIVE, FORCING PEOPLE TO GIVE THEM MONEY

Dear Editors,

Sharing this so that your people can avoid the beggars during this festive period. I went shopping at Bugis on Saturday, saw a lao auntie trying to sell pen. I tried to walk pass her so that I can avoid but suddenly she grabbed my arms. Begging me to help her, buy her pen as she is hungry and no money for lunch. No choice but to give her $2. She took the money without giving me a pen.

Sunday went orchard. Same thing happened but this time is tissue aunt. She grabbed my hand and beg me to buy. GF opened her purse and took out $10 as she got no change. I told her I have $2. Lao auntie quickly grabbed the $10 and walked away without giving us the tissue.

From their accents, it seems like both aunties are not local, maybe from China. I really wonder how the government allows such people to come in to our country, when they don’t even have a proper job and have to resort to begging or taking away the jobs of local ah ma tissue seller. Please beware of such scammers and walk far far away from them if you spot them.
