KONG HEE TRAVELLING OUT OF S’PORE, BAIL RAISED FROM $500,000 TO $1.5 MILLION

All 6 City Harvest Church leaders filed notices of appeal at the State Courts on Wednesday afternoon. They are appealing against their guilty conviction and jail sentences. They were given jail sentences from between 21 months to 8 years after they were found guilty of criminal breach of trust.

After their sentences were meted out by the Judge, the prosecution expressed disappointment at the inadequate sentences and filed an appeal for much harsher sentences of 5 to 12 years.

All 6 leaders are out on bail with a same bail amount. Only Kong Hee’s bail amount was increased from $500,000 to $1.5 million as he will be travelling.
