A convicted terrorist from Singapore , Mohammad Hassan Saynudin (Fajar Taslim) intends to live in Indonesia when his jail sentence ends and wants to apply for Indonesian citizenship.

According to his lawyer Achmad Michdan, Hassan must renounce his Singapore citizenship before he is able to apply for Indonesian citizenship. He says that Hassan dreads deportation to Singapore because he could be detained indefinitely under the Internal Security Act (ISA).
