COMPLAINT: SINGPOST CANCELLED MY PARCEL DELIVERY DUE TO ‘BAD WEATHER’

Dear Editors,

Bought something online from Japan and reached Singapore this morning. Speedpost courier picked it up for delivery at 0913. At 1517, the status changed to unsuccessful delivery due to inclement weather.

I have read online that many people are pissed off with Speedpost/Singpost services. I myself have been using EMS for few years, getting both good and bad services from them. However, this is my first time seeing such reason stated for unsuccessful delivery.

Can Speedpost courier decides not to deliver because he/she thinks that there is inclement weather? I am not sure about other parts of the island but there is definitely no inclement weather in the area I stay. And even if that is so, can’t they resume delivery given that it is still before 1600.
