KHAIRUL AMRI’S HEADER POWERS SINGAPORE PAST AFGHANISTAN IN WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS

On 8 October 2015, the Singapore National Football Team defeated Afghanistan one nil in their World Cup qualifiers at the Singapore National Stadium. Forward Khairul Amri connected with a Faris Ramli corner and powered in a header past goalkeeper Ovays Azizi in the 72nd minute.

This is Amri’s 102nd appearance for the Lions and Singapore is in third place in their qualifying group with 7 points.

This victory keeps alive Singapore’s chances of progressing to the third round of World Cup qualification
