FAS WILL NOT REFUND FANS IF SINGAPORE – AFGHANISTAN MATCH IS CANCELLED

“In the event that the match cannot proceed due to the current haze situation, the Football Association of Singapore has taken a decision that no refunds will be made in the event of match postponement and/or cancellation,” reads a statement released by the Football Association of Singapore on the Singapore Sports Hub’s website.

The Lions are scheduled to host Afghanistan in the Group E match at the National Stadium at 8pm on Thursday.

Last week, Day 1 of the Fina Swimming World Cup at the OCBC Aquatic Center was cancelled due to unhealthy haze conditions. However, fans for that competition would be refunded for their losses.

The FAS had earlier issued a statement conveying its concern regarding the haze on its fans, players, officials and volunteers’ health. It declared that if the haze situation worsens, “a decision will be taken by AFC match officials on the most appropriate course of action in the best interests of all parties.”

Tickets are priced from $10 for a Category 2 concession ticket to $38 for an adult Category 1 seat.
