BOY SUSTAINS HEAD INJURY AFTER TREE FALLS ON HDB BLOCK

A large tree, which stood near Housing Development Board (HDB) block 243 in Pasir Ris Street 21, collapsed at about 6PM yesterday, crashing into the block and breaking several windows in the process.

Unfortunately, a young 11 year-old boy, who lives on the second floor of the block, sustained a head injury and was taken to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, says an Singapore Civil Defence Force spokesman. Reporters could not confirm whether the boy was in one of the affected flat units at the time.
