S’PORE POLY STUDENTS IN MIDST OF EXAM EVACUATED AFTER FIRE BREAKS OUT

A group of students at the Singapore Polytechnic (SP) were in the midst of their exams when the fire alarm was activated mid-way through their paper.

According to witnesses, a fire had broken out near Teaching block 11B. Posts about the incident began appearing on student profiles on Facebook and Twitter from about 10.27AM.

The fire was later confirmed to have occurred at the Wafer Fabrication Lab in campus.

3 security officers were conveyed to the National University Hospital for smoke inhalation.
