There is a rumour circulating on hardwarezone forum that the Reform Party has a serious ‘manpower crunch’ and may be unable to field a team in Ang Mo Kio GRC and West Coast GRC, despite claiming at the opposition talks that they will contest in these two GRCs.
Is there any truth to this rumour? I would like Reform Party to clarify this matter as soon as possible, as this concerns giving the voters of these two GRCs a choice in wanting to keep the current government.
There are national issues that have affected the livelihood of Singaporeans, and we wish to have the right to weigh in on those issues, instead of being distracted all the time about the Workers’ Party town council issue. The mainstream media gives this town council issue so much coverage instead of focusing on bread-and-butter issues that have hurt citizens very badly over the past few years. Such issues include a widely perceived systematic discrimination against Singaporeans at work by foreign managers, lack of serious penalties for foreign companies who have been caught discriminating against Singaporeans and making false statements to MOM in order to cover their tracks (Why are the PR status or resident status of these foreign managers not revoked?), frequent train breakdowns and housing prices rising much faster than national median wage.
If the Reform Party is unable to field a team, please declare so early so that other opposition parties can fill the void. The voters of Ang Mo Kio may want a new Prime Minister who is able to solve the problems started during the leadership of the current Prime Minister.
I attach here a screenshot from hardwarezone forum as evidence of this dicussion regarding the rumoured manpower issues at the Reform Party.
