SHIPYARD MANAGER ABUSED AUTHORITY & DESTROYED SMARTPHONES OWNED BY POOR FOREIGN WORKERS

Dear Editors,

This incident occurred at Benoi Keppel Singmarine. 3 foreign workers had brought their phones into vessel though they didn't use it. Suddenly the project manager grabbed the phones from their pockets grind it before throwing it into the dustbin.

I witnessed the incident and as a co worker was shocked to see such a misuse of power and authority. He could have confiscated the phones or issued a warning.

But how could he destroy another person's property. Worst still the manager bragged about his deed in a group chat among co workers as shown in the photo.
