This is our current electoral prediction based on ground sentiments and 2011’s results. We predict that the PAP would win the Western half of Singapore owing to the lack of a strong opposition presence.
The WP is expected to retain Aljunied, Hougang and Punggol East by a comfortable margin.
Potong Pasir and Fengshan are close fights but the opposition are expected to win both SMCs.
East Coast, Bishan-Toa Payoh, Marine Parade, Mountbatten, Tampines and Sengkang West are expected to be tough fights and the results could go either way.
Nee Soon, Bukit Panjang, Mac Pherson and Bukit Batok will be close fights but the results will still be in favour for the PAP.
Note: This is a very early prediction as both the PAP and the opposition have yet to determine their candidates. Based on the current prediction, the PAP would comfortably secure over 50% of seats in Parliament, forming the next Government. However, they could lose the 2/3 majority if the Opposition wins enough swing constituencies.
