The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) is looking for the group of about 30 people who rushed to help a South Korean man pinned under a lorry at Boon Keng Road.
In it's Facebook post yesterday, the SCDF praised them for putting up "a display of the Singapore spirit" and added: "proof that you don't have to be in a costume to be a superhero".
According to local news media, the incident involved a 35-year-old South Korean man who got trapped under a lorry at about 11.45am on Wednesday at the junction of Bendemeer Road and Boon Keng Road. It is not clear how the man ended up under the truck, although eye witnesses say that he had been hit while crossing the road.
The man sustained a leg fracture during the accident, but is now recovering well in Tan Tock Seng hospital.
SCDF wrote: "If you were one of the good Samaritans who helped rescue the man, reach out to us at 6471 7417 or 6332 3001 between 9am to 5pm. We'd love to hear from you!"
