POLICE OFFICER SHOT AT KHOO TECK PUAT HOSPITAL

According to media reports, a police officer was shot today at Khoo Teck Puat hospital this evening (20 Jun).

He was escorting a 24-year old man who was brought to A & E department with complaints of chest pain and asthma. While inside a private room in the hospital, the man attempted to escape and struggled with the officer during which shots were fired.

The 31-year old injured police officer was shot in the hand and had been taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for treatment.

His condition is believed to be stable.
