Malls malls malls and more freaking malls opening….. IT SICKENS ME!
Do we really need so many malls? Isn’t Singapore land constraint? Isn’t that why the prices of property and rental going up like crazy and as a result increasing the price of everything else?
Why are there so many malls being built? Yes our population did go up and I guess you can argue that having more malls create more jobs. BUT that argument is invalid because shops open and close more often then some idiot getting famous in Singapore because of a social media fuck up.
We just don’t have enough shoppers. MAYBE that’s because the price of everything is so high that people can’t really be bothered to go shopping. Also more often then not it would be much cheaper buying things online.
It’s pretty much impossible for shops paying insane rentals that are ever increasing. To compete with online merchants who sell their wares directly. Almost anything you want to buy can be found online at a maybe cheaper price.
More malls doesn’t = to more money, or at least that’s what I think. Maybe Singapore should invest in more important shit for our land. Like maaaaaaaybe a 90 story urban vertical farm growing fresh food hydroponicly with a huge ass super market selling cheap home grown food to our hawker centers helping to lower down the cost of food?
