Tickets to the upcoming SEA Games in Singapore are being resold online for inflated prices, according to recent reports by netizens and the media.

A quick look at popular trading app Carousell saw several accounts selling multiple tickets for prices ranging from $600 to as low as $10. Some accounts did not list the prices and invited interested buyers to negotiate for the price.

Singapore’s SEA Games Organizing Committee has put a statement up on its website to warn the public against buying resold tickets. The authenticity of the tickets are not assured, says the committee, and invalid tickets will not be allowed to enter into the arenas.

The tickets have been on sale since 6th May, and tickets for the coveted opening and closing ceremonies are still available through official channels.
