Jollibee Singapore has opened a 2nd branch in Lucky Plaza and the brand looks to be going strong despite its controversial start.
Last year Jollibee opened its first branch in Lucky Plaza, but attracted the ire of some netizens who threatened to boycott the Filipino food joint.
In a statement released to the media, Jollibee management says that despite the negative press, they would push ahead with a 2nd branch due to the overwhelming demand for their food. They also claim that Jollibee would hire more Singaporeans despite the bad press that the chain has received among Singaporeans.
The new branch is now open at the basement of Lucky Plaza. It has taken over the rental unit of the economic rice store in the only food court in the building.
