Hi A.S.S.,

I am a poly grad earning only 2.8k (before CPF) and I am currently giving parents $700 a month. That leaves me less than 1.4k after deduction of CPF.

But recently my parents have been hinting and pressuring me to take over the support for the family.. Which means every month I will have to pay more than $1,000 to support them..

With this kind of cash flow, I foresee that I will never ever be able to save much, let alone start my own family and get married.. It is very depressing.. My parents feel that when I start work my father can retire and then leave me as the sole breadwinner of the family.

I want to tell them that I am only going to give them $300 a month from now on.

What should I do? (I know they will go crazy and start all their verbal abuse, emotional blackmail and scoldings again)
