An exhibition that details the history of the Republic’s private and public school buses has been launched by the Singapore School & Private Hire Bus Owners’ Association on Friday.
The exhibition features an array of artifacts. These include a compact, portable ticketing system, a ticket punch and old bus tickets.
Among the artifacts are those owned by Mr Bobby Teh, who has been collecting bus tickets since he was in Primary School. He lent some of those tickets to the exhibition.
The exhibition is open to the public for free in celebration of SG50, and also to recognise the efforts of the pioneers of the transport industry, said the Singapore School & Private Hire Bus Owners’ Association.
The exhibition is touted to be the first of its kind in Singapore and goes on till May 24, from 9am to 8pm daily.
