NEL PASSENGER WHOSE LEG GOT STUCK WAS PUSHED BY SOMEONE

Train service was delayed for about half an hour on the North-East Line (NEL) on Thursday morning after a woman’s leg got stuck in the platform gap.

SBS Transit, which runs the NEL, said the woman lost her balance after she was pushed while standing in the train near the door at the North-East Line Boon Keng Station at about 8.06am.

“Her leg slipped through the 10cm gap and she could not get it out. Staff and fellow commuters quickly attended to her and the Singapore Civil Defence Force was contacted for assistance.” said Ms Tammy Tan, Senior Vice-President, Corporate Communications, SBS Transit.

The woman did not say who pushed her.
