At the start of his 2 day trial, teen blogger Amos Yee has pleaded not guilty to both charges laid by the prosecution. He faced the charge of making offensive or wounding remarks against Christianity and another for circulating obscene imagery.
Due to the need to look through evidence, Yee’s lawyers called for an adjournment and the Judge will hear further submissions on Friday, 2.30pm.
Besides Yee’s parents, also at the trial were CPF activist blogger Roy Ngerng and human rights lawyer Teo Soh Lung.
If convicted of the two charge, Amos Yee who is being charged as an adult faces up to three years imprisonment, a fine or both.
