WE DO NOT WANT CONFRONTATIONAL LGBT ACTIVISM IN SINGAPORE

I am glad IKEA has decided to continue their promotional tie-up with Lawrence Khong’s magic show.

Much as I disagree with Khong’s beliefs, we do not want the divisive Western culture wars to start in Singapore.

As a society that values social harmony, there are better ways to ensure LGBTs do not get discriminated than the confrontational approaches that have divided American society.

We will find our own way.

And it shall not be the destructive way that foreign lobby groups and their local stooges favour.
