SURVIVAL GUIDE: QUEUING FOR LKY’S FUNERAL AT PARLIAMENT HOUSE

Dear A.S.S.

I saw the extreme long queues for Lee Kuan Yew’s funeral wake that stretched all the way to Clarke Quay. I thought I’d share these survival tips so that Singaporeans can be better prepared when they go visit LKY for the last time.

MUST BRING:

At least 500ml of drinking water
A book to read
Tablet
An umbrella (in case it rains or simply to avoid the sun)
A fully charged smartphone
A fully charged mobile device battery
A towel
Some snacks
Tiger Balm (just in case)

Start queuing with an empty bladder (and possibly go with budd(ies) in case you need to visit the loo).

Estimated waiting time for those starting the queue at noon (Wed, 25 March 2015) is 3-4 hours.

Take care.
