16 YEAR-OLD GIRL ELOPES WITH BOYFRIEND, MOTHER PLEADS FOR HER RETURN

A 16 year-old girl, Melva Mah Weng Yee, has eloped with her boyfriend, which has sparked a frantic search for her whereabouts by family and friends.

On the day of her disappearance, Melva had simply vanished with her boyfriend immediately after school. Concerned friends and family have taken to posting pictures of her and her boyfriend on the internet to try and locate the two.

In the hope that her daughter would read her message, her mother said, “I will wait for you to return home to celebrate my birthday together.”

Melva was last seen on 12th March at about 4pm at her secondary school located at Toa Payoh North.

Members of the public who have spotted the couple are advised to contact the Singapore Police Force.
