At about 12.45am today, 5 taxis heading to Changi Airport collided into one another, leaving 1 driver admitted to the hospital for his injuries.

The accident involved 4 Comfort taxis and 1 SMRT taxi. Each of the drivers said that they were just heading to the airport to pick up passengers for the night.

When interviewed, some drivers said that the accident may have been caused by inattentive taxi drivers and snaking taxi queues at the airport. There have been complaints about long lines of taxis queuing for customers at the airport, which occupies 1 of 2 lanes heading towards Singapore’s busy airport.
