PRESIDENT TONY TAN DECLARES 7 AUG 2015 A PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR SG50

As part of Singapore’s Jubilee celebrations, President Tony Tan has declared Aug 7 a public holiday.

There will be an extended 4-day Jubilee weekend from 7 Aug to 10 Aug to give Singaporeans the opportunity to take part in commemorating Singapore’s 50th birthday.

Special programmes have been planed island wide for the Jubilee Weekend. Tentatively, there will be programmes at Marina Bay Area, Singapore Botanic Gardens, West Coast Park, Pasir Ris Park, Sembawang Park and the Sports Hub. All museums will be open in the four days.
