After falling consecutively for a few weeks to prices last seen in 2009, pump prices have taken a quick upturn over the past three days. Petrol companies Caltex, Shell and Esso have revised pump prices this week.
Prices for the most popular petrol grade, 95 octane grade, have risen by as much as 8 cents, costing $1.83 a litre at Caltex and Shell, and $1.80 at Esso.
Prices for 98 octane grade fuel are now $1.94 a liter at Esso’s and $2.30 for Shell’s V-Power.
The cheapest 92 octane grade is at $1,79 a liter at Caltex and $1.76 at Esso.
Pump prices at Singapore Petroleum Company (SPC) have remained unchanged since 15 January. Prices have stayed at $1.75 a liter for 95 octane grade fuel, $1.88 for 98 octane grade and $1.71 for 92 octane grade.
Diesel costs $1.32 a liter at Caltex and Shell, $1.30 at Esso and $1.25 at SPC.
