At around 2am on Thursday (22 January 2015), as a woman was walking home alone at Clementi Avenue 3, a man tried to robbed her of her handbag.
The 32-year-old massage therapist, Jessie, was walking down a pedestrian bridge when she was surprised by the robber.
As he grabbed her bag, she held tightly to her bag thinking she can save her belongings and started screaming for help.
Little did she know, the robber pulled out a knife and stabbed her multiple times before running away with the handbag.
Lucky for her passers-by heard her screams and came to her aid. By then she was bleeding profusely and had wounds to her waist, lungs and liver. After a 10 hour surgery, she was saved but in a weak condition and is still unable to speak.
