Hi,
I read your story THE GHOSTLY STORY BEHIND PULAU TEKONG THREE-DOOR BUNK with interest.
The story I am going to share happened on Tekong as well. It happened to my fellow instructor in February 2000 when I was a Recce instructor in School of Military Intelligence. We are required to bring our trainees to Tekong for regular training. My fellow instructor, I call him "A", brought a group of trainees to Tekong and he followed a team for their night mission.
The 4-man team decided to harbour near the Fibua Village. The team leader, another team mate and a instructor were in the vegetation in a Y-junction. The other 2 trainees were opposite in the bushes. Suddenly, "A" heard the 2 across the road shouting out to him. "A" told them to shut up and watch out for enemy movement. But the 2 persisted so "A" had no check but to check on them.
The 2 were visibly in fear when "A" shone the torchlight on their faces. They told "A" that a white figure crossed the road towards A's original position! Bloody hell! "A" immediately recalled the team.
The exercise was cut short. The 2 trainees who saw the white figure had high fever for the next few days while "A" had difficulties sleeping for a week.
The incident happened on a Thursday.
