LAWYER M RAVI WANTS PSC TO INVESTIGATE PM LEE & SACK HIM IF GUILTY

Human rights lawyer, the lawyer representing CPF blogger Roy Ngerng in his defamation defence, is appealing tot he court to set aside the summary judgement against Roy so that he can launch an inquiry as to whether Lee Hsien Loong and his press secretary are in breach of the Code of Conduct for Civil Servants.

Just a few days back, Mr Ravi and the Prime Minister’s Office was engaged in a war of words, with Mr Ravi questioning if Ms Chang was representing PM Lee as the Prime Minister of Singapore or as a private citizen, which had been the basis of the defamation suit.

Mr Ravi points out that “even as a trainee lawyer, I could understand that the PM’s press secretary was in breach of Section 44 of the Code of Conduct for Civil Servants and the PM is in breach of the same section being subject to the same guidelines of the Public Service Commission”.

As such, Mr Ravi is seeking the High Court to determine if Lee Hsien Loong and his secretary were in breach of Section 44 and if they are found to be in breach, that PSC dismiss both of them from their positions.
