Eyla saw this boy carrying his school bag over his head while standing along the corridor at a block in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 as a form of punishment.
The contributor says the boy is shouted at and punished by his father almost every day, which she feels is not right.
“This poor boy was being reprimanded my his dad for being lazy with his schoolwork.
“His dad made him stand upright along the corridor with a heavy load (I assume it is his school bag).
“It has been almost every day since the dad would shout and punish him.
“For whatever reasons it might be, I believe this is not the kind of way to discipline a child.”
