A 42-year-old woman was charged with murder today (Sept 15) at the State Courts over the death of a seven-year-old boy. The woman is accused of causing the death of the boy on Saturday in the flat in Tampines where he had lived.
The boy, whose body had been found face down at the foot of the block, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
She has been remanded for psychiatric assessment, and her case will next be heard on Oct 7.
If convicted of murder, she faces the death penalty.
