Mr Lee Kuan Yew is a vintage example of True Grit and Lifelong Learning. He will be 91 next month. Although frail and a little unsteady on his feet he attended the NDP and remained throughout the Parade. See pic which I took from across the aisle. Later, I sat with him at the post-parade reception. He sipped some beer along with his meal and ate sweet desserts. I asked him whether he still took Chinese lessons every day. He explained that having invested so much time learning the language, he might as well keep up with it. Mr Lee is a real, tough cookie who never gives up and never stops learning and sharing his experience and wisdom.
