S’PORE’S 68 MOSQUES TO RAISE FUNDS FOR GAZA CIVILIANS

All 68 mosques in the Republic, in collaboration with the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF), are organising a fund-raising drive for humanitarian relief for the victims of the conflict in Gaza, the foundation said in a statement yesterday.

“We share the concern and desire of many within the community to help bring some relief to the victims of the crisis in Gaza,” the statement said, adding that relief efforts will focus on the provision of basic essentials such as food, water and electricity, as well as medicine and clothing.

Those who wish to contribute to the fund can do so through donation boxes placed at the mosques from this Friday until next Thursday, or by sending cheques to the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS) building at the Singapore Islamic Hub at 273 Braddell Road.

Cheques should be made payable to the RLAF, with the words “Fund raising in aid of victims of humanitarian conflict in Gaza” written on the back. Donations can also be made via the MUIS website from Friday at 12am.
