MANY people believe that Temasek and GIC do invest and manage the savings of Central Provident Fund (CPF) members, even though Temasek has stated that it does not (“Temasek doesn’t invest or manage CPF savings”; last Wednesday).
There is no effective and constant communication from GIC, Temasek and the CPF Board to CPF members on how their monies are being managed.
The CPF website does not have a search engine for members to ask questions.
The Frequently Asked Questions section does not seem to contain any mention of how CPF monies are managed – a crucial and pertinent question which members need an answer to.
Therefore, I do not blame CPF members for being suspicious each time the Minimum Sum is raised.
