dear editor,
I am very angry when I saw a tweet by City Harvest Church Pastor Tan Kim Hock who posted "I ALSO NOTICED THAT UNDER THE SUN THERE IS EVIL IN THE COURTROOM. YES, even the courts of law are corrupt!"

Isn't that contempt of court when the trials are ongoing? Singapore Courts have often use Contempt of Court to silence prominent PAP critics such as Alex Au and cartoonist Leslie Chew. Opposition political parties were not spared either. Singapore Democratic Party leaders were charged with contempt of court because they wore T-shirts with a cartoon of a kangaroo in a judge's robe.
Between 2007 and 2009, City Harvest Church diverted $24-million of church donations into investments schemes carried out by church-linked companies Firna and Xtron in order to fund pop-singer Sun Ho's extravagant lifestyle and singing career. Those donations were meant for a new Church building.
During the fund raising campaign, Senior Pastor Kong Hee, who is the husband of Sun Ho, had pushed for an aggressive campaign to milk donations from church goers.
In the end, the donations were used by Sun Ho for this music video China Wine?
That's not it. While in Los Angeles, Sun Ho stayed in $28,000-a-month Hollywood home.
Now the Courts are trying to deliver justice to those who are using religion to cheat but it is not known why certain CHC pastors are adamant that the church has done no wrong, even going to the extent of accusing the judiciary with a slanderous charge!
